Beautiful phenomenon based on surface tension

Beautiful phenomenon based on surface tension

Hello friends, here i'm going to tell you some  more  special and beautiful phenomenon based on surface tension.
The first is.............

1.Formation of Lead Shots (MARBLES)

For making marbles, we take the melted glass in liquid form.
Now from a certain height melted glass is threw into  a big water tank as a fountain.
During fall of glass liquid due to surface tension the melted glass acquire minimum surface area and turns into spherical marbles.

Reaching to the water tank it converts into solid marbles.
By this process the beautiful & colorful marbles  are formed,in case of big drops it is affected by gravity and it becomes some flat.

NOW BEAUTIFUL  MARBLES ARE READY

2.Spraying results in coldness

When we spray water on skin or on anyone then we feel coldness why?? do you know??
When we spray water then it converts into numerous small drops due to this the surface area increases  suddenly.
In this process the small water drops molecule comes out on the surface, to come out to the surface the drops have to work against cohesive force therefore the decrease in internal energy takes place,
hence it 's temperature falls, and we feel coldness.
"INTERNAL ENERGY IS FUNCTION OF TEMPERATURE"

3.Dancing of CAMPHOR on water

pure camphor pieces

when small pieces of camphor are placed on water surface then it start to mix in water,
then a solution is formed on water surface then the surface tension decreases.
Since the camphor has indefinite and rough surface therefore solubility of each side is different
hence the surface tension also vary .
Which side have more surface tension, the camphor piece is pulled in that direction. We see that the camphor pieces are dancing.

"IF THERE IS KEROSENE OIL ON WATER SURFACE THEN THE  CAMPHOR WILL NOT DANCE BECAUSE  KEROSENE-CAMPHOR  surface tension is less than WATER-CAMPHOR surface tension."

Does the full Moon make earth's tides stronger

MOON and TIDES of EARTHज्वार-भाटा और चाँद का इससे  सम्बन्ध  The mooon is the main reason why oceans have tides;the moon's gravity has stronger influence on the side of earth nearest to it, and it draws earth's water towards it ever so slightly ,which causes daily tides. May be you have noticed that tide runs higher during the FULL-MOON but it is not the moon's phase that causes that. the moon's tidle effects depend only on its mass and its distance from earth, which stay almost constant no matter its phase.                              So what makes high tides get even higher ?                             It is to do with the sun. The sun has also have gravitational pull on earth ,although a little less than half that of the moon.                          ...

Bernoulli's Theorem

Floating of Ping-Pong Ball on  water jet & air jet The principal  behind floating of a ping -pong ball is based on  BERNOULLI'S THEOREM now i am  going to tell you the whole principal behind this phenomenon. pin-pong ball placing on air jet First to understand this phenomenon, we should to look upon BERNOULLI'S THEOREM BERNOULLI'S THEOREM        This theorem is like energy conservation principle.   "When a non-compressible and non-viscous Liquid or Gas flow like linear current motion, then  at any point of it's path the TOTAL ENERGY (sum of pressure energy, kinetic energy and potential energy) of liquid or gas  remains constant."                                      It is the BERNOULLI'S THEOREM now the the conclusion comes out that            "the side where the velocit...

Science behind rotating ball

Magnus effect how a cricket spinner spin the ball?? Players of TENNIS and CRICKET often feels that, when a ball is thrown then it does not follow a straight line but it follows a curved path, WHY???                                                      i'll explain it,why a cricket ball follows a curved path. when a ball is thrown then an effect works behind it called  MAGNUS  EFFECT i'll explain it by a figure so that i can make it easier    The movement of ball on curved path is called SWING .  When a, thrown ball moves ahead, then empty space  left behind  the ball is  filled by the air rapidly. Let the air velocity is "v" (air going to fill the empty) If the ball is spining with velocity "u" then the air around the ball is also moving with velocity "u" Then as shown...
